Our Department of Paediatrics & Neonatology will be dedicated to delivering comprehensive care for infants, children, and adolescents. A skilled team of consultant physicians, resident staff, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, and paramedical professionals will support patient care across multiple services. This department is equipped to provide and/or support access to the following services.
Outpatient department (OPD) services
The OPD will provide affordable consultations, including free health camps and mobile OPD services for broader outreach. Teleconsultation options will allow convenient access to paediatric care. Specialised clinics within the OPD will address specific needs such as rehabilitation for autistic disorders, speech therapy, childhood psychiatric disorders, and vaccination services.
Inpatient department (IPD) services
Our IPD will deliver thorough, personalised care under expert supervision, with admission options for self-paying patients, government health scheme beneficiaries (e.g., Swasthya Sathi and Ayushman Bharat), and those with private health insurance. Patients will receive care tailored to their needs in CCUs, HDUs, general wards or private cabins, with access to advanced ventilators and essential medical equipment, including sophisticated monitors, defibrillators, injectors, and laminar airflow systems. Additionally, our critical-care units will be equipped with cutting-edge smart hospital beds.
Investigation services
Round-the-clock access to haematology, microbiology, pathology & radiology services will ensure comprehensive diagnostics and timely care for all paediatric patients.
Intensive-care unit (ICU) services
The ICUs will be fully equipped with modern technology, including a Level 1 NICU for critical neonatal care. Key interventions will include the following interventions will be done.
- Ventilation
- BIPAP/CPAP
- Intubation
- Surfactant therapy
- Phototherapy
- Double-volume blood transfusion
- Neonatal echocardiograph
- Screening for retinopathy
Research & development (R&D)
Our department will prioritise research in paediatrics, aiming for recognition as a deemed university with National Examination Board affiliation. With leadership from a distinguished cardiologist and researcher, we will engage in translational research that advances paediatric care.Collaborative efforts with national & international agencies will drive innovation and improve patient outcomes
Education
Education will play a central role, with regular workshops and advanced training sessions aimed at local, national, and international healthcare providers. Continuing medical education (CME) programmes and guest lectures will keep local physicians informed on the latest paediatric care advancements. In the future, we plan to introduce the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) courses and different paramedical courses in paediatrics and neonatology to foster the next generation of specialists. Public symposiums on key health topics will help families learn about preventive care and the importance of seeking timely medical intervention.
