The Department of Paediatric Surgery will be dedicated to providing specialised surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents, with an emphasis on high-quality child-centred care. This department will offer a comprehensive range of surgical interventions, including minimally invasive procedures, neonatal surgeries, and treatments for congenital anomalies, trauma, and paediatric cancers. Our team of trained paediatric surgeons and healthcare staff will deliver top-notch care in a welcoming, child-friendly environment, equipped to manage all elective and emergency paediatric & neonatal surgeries. The following services are offered and/or facilitated by this department.

Outpatient department (OPD) services

The department will provide regular outpatient consultations at affordable rates, supported by free health camps in nearby communities. Mobile OPD services will extend access to surrounding areas, while teleconsultation options will be available for remote assistance and followup.

Inpatient department (IPD) services

Comprehensive IPD services overseen by our experienced consultants, with admission options for self-paying patients, government health schemes (such as Swasthya Sathi and Ayushman Bharat), and private health-insurance coverage. Accommodations will range from general beds and private cabins to specialised units such as NICUs, ICUs, HDUs, and CCUs, tailored to the specific needs of each patient. Advanced ventilators and cutting-edge equipment (e.g., advanced monitors, defibrillators, injectors, and laminar airflow systems) will support our care. Our critical-care units will feature state-of-the-art smart hospital beds.

Investigation services

A comprehensive suite of investigation services, including haematology, microbiology, pathology, and radiology, will be available around the clock, supported by state-of-the-art equipment to ensure accurate diagnostics and effective treatment.

Operating theatre (OT) and intervention services

The department will be well equipped to conduct a broad array of paediatric surgeries. Key services will include the following.

Research & development (R&D)

The department will focus on translational research to integrate laboratory discoveries with clinical applications. Research initiatives will aim to develop innovative therapies that enhance patient outcomes and quality of life for paediatric patients.

Education

We will offer regular workshops and advanced technique courses on interventional procedures, along with continuing medical education (CME) programmes for family physicians. In the future, we plan to introduce the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) course and different paramedical courses in paediatric surgery to foster the next generation of specialists. Public symposiums will also be conducted to promote community awareness on preventive care and the benefits of early intervention.
