The department will offer comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services, particularly within rheumatology—a rapidly advancing speciality driven by new insights into the immune mechanisms behind these conditions. The primary goal is to help patients with rheumatic diseases, such as arthritis, osteoporosis, lupus, ankylosing spondylitis, and vasculitis, achieve a quality of life as close to normal as possible. Our expert team will be proficient in diagnosing and managing a variety of complex disorders that affect the joints, muscles, bones, and immune system, often through nonsurgical methods including clinical assessments, imaging, blood tests, and joint fluid analysis. This specialised care will be delivered by a team of consultants, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, and other paramedical professionals. This department offers and/or ensures access to the following services.

Outpatient department (OPD) services

Regular OPD services will be provided at affordable rates, with free health camps organised in neighbouring areas. Mobile OPD services will also be available locally, along with teleconsultation options for access from home.

Inpatient department (IPD) services

Comprehensive inpatient services will be offered, with patients admitted under the expert care of our consultants. Admission options will be available for self-paying individuals, those covered under government health programmes (like Swasthya Sathi and Ayushman Bharat), and those with private health insurance. Inpatient care will be tailored to each patient’s needs and will include ICU, HDU, general ward or cabin accommodations as necessary. The department will also be outfitted with the latest equipment, including ventilators, high-precision monitors, state-of-the-art defibrillators, advanced injectors, and laminar airflow systems. The units will also feature next- generation smart hospital beds designed for optimal patient care & comfort.

The department will provide both medical and surgical interventions, collaborating closely with the Department of Orthopaedics and the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Treatments will include intra-articular injections and physical therapies.

Research & development (R&D)

Education

Regular workshops and courses will be held to teach advanced interventional techniques, and continuing medical education (CME) will be offered to partner family physicians through guest lectures and updates. Public symposiums will be held frequently to educate the community on preventive health measures and the importance of seeking timely medical help.
